“Breakfast is served between 8.00pm and 9.00pm in the dining room or conservatory which are light and airy and over look the garden, here you can enjoy a relaxed leisurely breakfast.”
We offer a varied menu using locally sourced produce where possible, freshly cooked to order on the AGA.
A selection of cereals and fruit salad. We take your orders for toast, as well as tea and coffee. A jug of orange juice is placed on each table. Our toast is made with St Ives Bakery sour dough bread. Other breads, including gluten free are available.
Hot Dishes
Our bacon, hogs pudding and sausages are produced locally at Chypraze Farm. The farm prides itself on its ethically produced meat using environmentally friendly farming methods.
Our eggs are also sourced from local farms.
Full Cornish – a traditional Cornish breakfast with a slice of hogs pudding (a Cornish treat made from pork), bacon, sausage, an Aga egg (an egg cooked on the hot plate with minimal oil), mushrooms and tomato.
Breakfast with any other combination of the above from the full Cornish ingredients is available.
Full Cornish veggie- veggie sausages, Aga egg, tomato, mushrooms, spinach and baked beans.
Bacon and eggs – two rashers of bacon and two Aga eggs.
Omelettes – three egg omelette plain, or with cheese, mushrooms and/or ham.
American pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup or compote and mixed fruit.
Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon – the salmon can either be served cold or poached.
Mushrooms and poached egg on sour dough toast.
Any combination of the following served with toast – mushrooms, boiled, poached or scrambled eggs, tomatoes, and baked beans.
Food Allergy / Intolerance Information
Nuts – there are no nuts in any of the hot dishes. Please check with us if in doubt about any of the cereals. Our brown bread contains a mixture of seeds.
Dairy – The scrambled eggs contain milk. No other hot dishes contain dairy.
Wheat/gluten – the sausages and hog’s pudding contain 4% rusk.
